Iyengar Yoga Winter Retreat
With Leah Katz
December 4 - 6, 2026
RETREAT BY INVITED PRESENTER
As we head into the holidays, this retreat will provide both the time and space for reflection and healing—which is a rare and precious opportunity in our hectic lives. The methodical and clear teachings of Iyengar Yoga allow you to prepare the ground for inner peace, emerging stronger and restored. You will develop confidence in your personal approach to yoga practice, and a sense of ease from a weekend of self-care within a safe community of fellow seekers.
Retreat is essential. Dharmakaya is an exceptional and beautiful setting and sangha and I love, love, love the power and strength of Leah’s love for us.
Leah is an excellent teacher that adapts to all levels and health concerns of the individuals in her class. She is committed to the path of Iyengar Yoga and its philosophy.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
“Yoga does not just change the way we see things, it transforms the person who sees.”
— BKS Iyengar
While each session will have a unique focus, you can expect to receive a firm foundation in the methodology of Iyengar method of yoga, including:
- Asanas, which are the physical postures
- Pranayama, the art of breathing, a conscious and intentional practice to help bridge the physical and spiritual realms
- Yoga philosophy, encompassing ancient wisdom texts including Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras and the Bhagavad Gita
Throughout, there will be time for meditation, silence, deep rest, group discussions and Q&A.
This program will include both rigorous practices and gentle restorative ones. It is intended for the serious student of yoga—which may mean that you have been practicing for many years and are advanced in knowledge and skill or that you are newer to yoga but you approach it with integrity. Adaptations and alternative poses will always be offered.
