PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Wouldn’t it be nice to be less stressed and more compassionate? To feel stronger connections with friends and family? To experience true inner calm? The dharma, Buddha’s teachings, offer insights that make all this possible. Moving from theory to practice, this program will provide some tangible skills to help apply the teachings in day to day life, addressing such topics as:

  • Why it is helpful to let go of negative emotions—and how to succeed
  • How to navigate conflict compassionately
  • How to weave meditation into your daily life—and why that makes a difference
  • How to quiet your inner critic
  • How to notice—and fully appreciate—the good all around you

When not in class, relax in the Center’s beautiful and tranquil environment. Enjoy the view from the patio or a nearby hike, curl up with a book in the library or contemplate the stars while sitting by the fire pit. You are always welcome to join the regularly scheduled Center activities, including the Center’s Sunday study program.
